The award-winning Bash Street Theatre Co. have gained an international reputation for fast-moving, silent comedy shows with a unique combination of physical theatre, live music and circus skills. Their shows are truly international, having been enjoyed by audiences at major festivals throughout the UK, Europe, and the Far East since 1991.

With falling buildings, dare-devil escapology, silent comedy and live piano accompaniment “Cliffhanger!” provides fantastic street theatre entertainment for young and old alike.

Inspired by Buster Keaton’s short film ‘Convict 13’, this action-packed family show follows the fortunes of a love-sick café waiter as he becomes innocently embroiled in a prison escape.  When the heroine is abducted by a convict, there ensues a series of hair-raising episodes as our hero strives to rescue his new-found love.

This 50-minute show features an exciting film-set structure which provides a thrilling finale. It has played to enthusiastic audiences across nine European countries.

In 2006, “Cliffhanger!” won the Aixa Catalunya Award for “Best Street Theatre Show” at the Fira de Teatre in Tàrrega, Spain.
