History
Mel, Chris and Malcolm started Continental Drifts in 1994, The
initial aim of the company was to expand European touring routes
for UK based artists. The directors had met whilst organising
large scale free festivals, They shared a love of events, music
and performance and wanted to put their many years of knowledge
and contacts within the industry to good use.
Continental Drifts
began in Holland and the company has always seen themselves as
a European Business.
Upon returning to England, the first compilation CD and performance
directory were made in 1996 using a small arts council grant.
This was more successful than they could have ever imagined and
the company has since produced 9 additional catalogues, more than 10 CDs
and numerous
events.
Continental Drifts has won awards, been the focus of a Channel
4 documentary and achieved notable international success for more than 13 years. Working with a diverse range of clients, from
International and British royalty, to pop stars and music festivals.
