Continental Drifts are the event production team for this one-day
festival in East Oxford. Continental Drifts have worked with
the East Oxford team since the event began in 2001. The event
started with a small festival with 2 stages and a carnival parade
with a rolling road closure. The festival now attracts
around 30,000 people, closes 23 roads for the day of the event
and features around 15 different performance areas and stage
as well as a large carnival procession. This event is community
led and Continental Drifts work to facilitate this community
in realizing their vision for the festival.
"I have worked with Continental Drifts for
5 years as the producers of the Oxford Carnival. During this time, the
event has grown from an audience of 4,000 to one of 25-30,000. Continental
Drifts have the skills and management experience to give me full
confidence that however large and complicated our event grows
to, the necessary safety planning and production back up will
be put in place for us to deliver a completely safe, fun, family
friendly community day in the way we always have."
